My New World!!!
"Better than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace."
Buddha
Peace is defined as the normal, non waring condition of a nation, group of nations, or the world.
If I could make a world the way I wanted I would hope for a world with peace. I think Peace is a needed characteristic because without it we would be living in fear and afraid of conflict being pushed upon you.
In a peaceful time you can plan for the future without being afraid. I can plan to go to university and know that it will happen. I can travel the land without worrying about mines and explosives or running into armies. Also in peaceful times I will not be drafted into an army, so I can plan my life ahead. I can go to school without worrying about not coming back.
Another reason peace would be a needed characteristic in my new world is so that all nations would never have to worry about war with each other. For example Vietnam in the 60's and 70's was having a civil war (north against the south). Because of this war Vietnam was not able to grow to its potentials. The economy was effected because of unemployment, very little trade, high cost for war supplies and the number of people fighting. That was why the war was so bad. It was a nation split and very poor. When peace happened in the mid seventies the country was able to refocus its efforts to become a strong nation again. Peace led Vietnam to be one of Asia's top successful trading countries.
Without peace we would not live in fear, we could plan for the future, we could focus on what we wanted out of life and countries could grow to their potentials. Peace is what the world needs to be a great place to live and grow.
